Choose a service. Each walkthrough follows one crew through a real start of shift check, with their phone and the fleet manager’s dashboard playing together.

- Scan the tag. The crew scans the QR tag on pumper P2. P2 opens with its status, last night’s handover and what is due. Equipment close to its test date is flagged before the shift starts. One tap starts the daily walkaround. On the dashboard, P2 is due today.
- Framed photos. At each position the camera shows a shadowed outline of the view it needs. The crew steps back until P2 sits inside it. Live camera only, never the gallery. Each photo is stamped on the phone with the time, GPS position and compass heading. The dashboard files every photo by position, so a manager sees the whole vehicle at a glance.
- Every tyre. Each tyre gets its own photo, framed in a circle. Tread depth and pressure are recorded against your own limits. Tread under the limit can restrict the vehicle. Every tyre on every vehicle lands in one table, with its photo, tread and pressure.
- Lights and siren. Every walkaround checks the emergency lights and siren. The crew switches everything on and photographs the lights running. Each light and each siren tone is passed or failed. A fail restricts P2 and needs a photo. The results land in the check record with the photo beside them.
- Pump test. At the pump panel the crew runs the pump test. The discharge gauge is photographed at test pressure, so the reading can be checked later. Time to prime and test pressure are checked against the limits you set. Each lands in the check record with its limit beside it.
- Water and foam. Tank levels are readings with limits too. Foam is at 55%, under the 75% limit. The app says straight away what that means for the vehicle. The crew adds a comment. The breach, the limit and the note all reach the dashboard together.
- Stock and equipment. Equipment is counted locker by locker against its par level. Stock is counted the same way. Two drums of foam concentrate are short of par, so the shortfall is recorded for the station to restock. Every count lands in the check record against its par, so shortfalls are plain to see.
- Compliance dates. Compliance dates are checked on the vehicle: extinguisher service, registration, first aid kit, ladder load test. Anything coming due is raised on the dashboard, alongside equipment tests and servicing from the registers.
- Meter and defects. In the cab, the odometer is photographed and read. A reading can never go backwards, and a big jump is flagged. A locker door will not latch. The crew photographs it and reports a defect, choosing how serious it is. The defect goes straight onto the defect board, ready for the workshop.
- Submit and sync. The crew submits: 38 results, 14 photos and one defect, in under 10 minutes. No signal in the bay. Everything is saved on the phone and sends itself when signal returns. Nothing is lost or sent twice. The fleet board updates. P2 is Restricted, with the reasons and a strong evidence rating for the walkaround. The fleet manager raises a work order from the board.
