See it working- Guided walkaround
- Positions around the vehicle in a set order: six and the cab for a road vehicle, four for a trailer, four and the helm for a vessel. No position can be skipped.
- Framed photos
- A shadowed outline of the view each position needs. The crew lines the vehicle up and takes the photo. The outline is a guide, not a detector.
- Stamped on the phone
- Every photo carries the time, GPS position and compass heading at the moment the shutter fired, and how long the crew spent there.
- Lights and siren
- Every template checks the emergency warning lights and each siren tone, with a photo of the lights running.
- Readings with limits
- Pump pressure, tank levels, oxygen pressure, cylinder pressure, anything with a unit, checked against your own limits.
- Stock and equipment
- Counted against par, locker by locker. You choose whether a shortfall restricts the vehicle or is only recorded.
- Dates
- Registration, service tags, calibration and expiry dates, warned 30 days out and able to restrict the vehicle once passed.
- Tyres and meters
- A framed photo of every tyre with tread and pressure. Odometer and engine hours photographed, never allowed to go backwards.
- Defects and damage
- Defects with a photo and a severity that sets the status. Damage marked on a drawing of the vehicle for an officer to review.
- Shift handover
- The outgoing crew hands over fuel, odometer and notes; the incoming crew accepts it. Nobody accepts their own.
- Offline first
- Works in plant rooms, basements, pits and on the water. Every record carries an id made on the phone, so re-sending never duplicates.
- On their own phone
- iPhone and Android. Big buttons for gloves and sunlight, and no training beyond the first check.
What happens without anyone asking
Nobody has to read a form and decide what to do. Every item carries the consequence you chose for it, and the platform acts on it the moment the check arrives.
- Vehicle status
- On run, restricted or off run, from failed items, breached limits, expired dates and open defects. Set the moment a check arrives.
- Walkaround evidence
- Each walkaround is rated good, check or weak, from missing photos, time per photo, whether the crew turned right round the vehicle and how far apart the photos were taken.
- Meter checks
- A reading lower than the last one is refused. A jump bigger than your limit is flagged for an officer.
- Alerts
- Critical defects, overdue checks, expiring dates, services coming due and equipment tests, raised in the dashboard for the right station.
- Service due
- Servicing by kilometres, engine hours or date, whichever comes first, worked out from every reading.
- Audit log
- Who did what, when and where, against which template version. Append only, for everyone including us.
One board, always current
It refreshes itself, so it can sit on a screen in the office or the station, and it goes as deep as the workshop needs.
- Fleet status
- Every vehicle, its status and why, refreshed as checks arrive.
- Check records
- Each check with its results, limits, photos by position and evidence rating. Printable, and exportable as a spreadsheet.
- Defects
- A board from open to fixed, with photos and severity.
- Work orders
- Numbered, assigned and closed by the workshop, with the meter reading at completion.
- Servicing
- Schedules by distance, hours or date, and what is due soon.
